The 2015 Sierra 1500 SLT pairs the EcoTec3 5.3L V8 (355 horsepower, 383 lb-ft of torque) with a six-speed automatic transmission. The EcoTec3 powertrain combines direct injection, variable valve timing and GM’s Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation to balance performance and fuel economy. A conventional rear-wheel-drive layout is standard, with four-wheel drive available, and the truck includes a Tow/Haul mode plus factory electronic controls to assist when towing or hauling.

The Sierra’s full-size frame and suspension are engineered to support typical truck tasks: towing, payload and stable highway driving.
